What is Non-Flammable Esterquat?

 Hi, How are you?

 Today we would like to explain about Non-Flammable Esterquat. Esterquat is a type of cationic surfactant that helps eliminate static electricity and softens fibers in fabrics.

 The solvent for Esterquat is usually IPA or Ethanol which are flammable substances. This causes inconveniences in handling and transportation, such as limited packages and a separate inspection before shipment.

 However, Tripropylene Glycol(TPG), Diethylene glycol(DEG) and Dipropylene glycol(DPG) are used as solvents for Non-Flammable Esterquat and it makes shipping and handling much easier.

 In addition, it is convenient to use because of its excellent color stability and water dispersibility.

OMC Free Mineral Sun Milk Formulation by Sunjin

Hi, How are you?

We would like to introduce a Mineral Sun Milk formulation that does not contain PEG, Silicone and OMC, which is one of the banned chemical sunscreens in Hawaii.

The W/O Sun Milk formulation with SPF50 PA4+ was developed using mineral filters only. Mineral sunscreens usually leave a white cast on skin, but this formulation provides high transparency.

We used SUNCLEAR-Z65C5 and Z65M as main UV filters in this formulation.

SUNCLEAR-Z65C5 is a Coco-Caprylate/Caprate based 40nm ZnO dispersion. The nano ZnO provides excellent UV protection and high transparency.
Z65M, which is a Caprylic Capric Triglyceride based 150nm ZnO dispersion, was also used to enhance the UV performance.

The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is an international NGO aiming to protect our ecosystems and wildlife, and secure a stable supply of palm oil.

Test stability of your formulation by Turbiscan

From July 2021, we will provide our customers free stability test service using Turbiscan. 

Based on Static Multiple Light Scattering(S-MLS) technique, Turbisacn can detect the destabilization up to 200 times faster than naked eye and save your precious time.

It will take 3 days to analyze stability per sample, and we will provide the result of Turbisacn Stability Index(TSI) ranging from A+ to D.

How to simply apply Ceramides into your O/W formulation?

In the 2^nd session of Sunjin webinar in June, we will introduce how to simply apply Ceramides into your O/W formulation

Ceramide formulation using liposome may have instability issue as liposomes and emulsion droplets merge. However, Ceraplex AQUA makes the formulation more stable with Hectorite platelets covering the emulsion droplets.

You can also simply add Ceraplex AQUA into the formulation after emulsification. Please check more information in our following webinar!

Grand Opening of the 2^nd factory in Janghang

On June 8^th, we held the opening ceremony of the 2^nd new factory in Janghang.

The annual capacity of the 2^nd factory, in which we invested 7 million USD, is approximately 1,000MT per year. In this factory, various surface treated products including TiO2 and ZnO will be manufactured.

The global cosmetic market is entering the recovery stage as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to decline.  We will respond to the increase in demand for cosmetic raw materials through the operation of the new factory.

We would like to introduce a Sun Milk formulation that does not contain PEG, Silicone oil and OMC, which is one of the banned chemical sunscreens in Hawaii.

The W/O Sun Milk formulation with SPF50 PA4+ was developed using a chemical & physical sunscreen combination.

We used SUNCLEAR-Z75AB with other chemical filters in order to obtain high transparency and high UV protection efficacy.

SUNCLEAR-Z75AB is an Alkyl Benzoate based 30nm ZnO dispersion. The nano ZnO provides excellent UV protection and high transparency.

EtOH, Microplastic, OMC free Sun Gel formulations

We would like to share Sun Gel formulations that do not contain EtOH, Microplastic and OMC, which is one of the banned chemicals in Hawaii.

Most Sun Gel formulations in the market contain EtOH. Sunjin developed EtOH free formulation for the Clean Beauty trend using SUNSIL-AB.

SUNSIL-AB is a Silica bead encapsulate with a chemical filter, Avobenzone. This product is ideal for water-based sun care formulations.

SUNSIL-AB also gives efficient UVA protection to the formulation. You can obtain higher UV protection efficacy when using SUNSIL-AB compared to when Avobenzone is separately applied to the formulation.
