Thank you very much for visiting Sunjin’s booth during In-cosmetics Korea 2022 held at COEX in Seoul from July 13 to 15.

For those who couldn’t attend In-Cosmetics Korea, let us briefly introduce the three most popular products during the exhibition.

The first product is the new silica product SUNSIL-LUX150H. SUNSIL-LUX150H is a 13um-sized porous silica with a pearl-like surface compared to conventional silica products. Many visitors have experienced the softness of SUNSIL-LUX150H.

The second product, the AQUA Oil series, is a nano-emulsion that can be easily emulsified in water phase without a high-pressure homogenizer and heating process. Many customers have been interested in it because it can be applied to various formulations in a simple way.

The last product is the Cerplex series. It is a Ceramide delivery system using Hectorite technology. You can develop a more stable formulation with Ceraplex series than using conventional liposome technology with Ceramides.

On June 29, a webinar on Sun Care Basics was held by the International Federation of Society of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC).

Dr. Sung-ho Lee, CEO of Sunjin Beauty Science and IFSCC Honorary Secretary, presented the basics of protecting your skin from the harmful effects of the sun and how to calculate the actual SPF depending on how well a person applies sunscreen.

A total of 1,141 people registered for this webinar, and 474 people participated in real time.

Sunjin Beauty Science Italy is located in Crema, a city about 40 minutes’ drive from Milan. Due to the large concentration of customers who produce makeup products, we can provide faster and better service to our customers.

Try out Hectorite-based oil thickener with less skin irritation!

Today we would like to introduce HECTOGEL MILD series which are Hectorite-based oil thickeners with less skin irritation.

HECTOGEL MILD series products are Hectorite based oil thickeners. Hectorite Gels have been extensively researched during development by Sunjin.

HECTOGEL is produced by milling Hectorite powder together with Oil, and Activator using high shear equipment. In this process, HECTOGEL forms thixotropic gels by developing hydrogen bond bridges between the edges of adjacent platelets.

Propylene Carbonate, the most commonly used activator for HECTOGEL, is an ingredient that can cause skin irritation.

In order to reduce skin irritation, Sunjin developed HECTOGEL MILD Series using 2,3-Butanediol instead of Propylene Carbonate as the Activator. There are 3 types of HECTOGEL MILD series with different kind of oils. You can choose one based on your formulation.

The World’s First and Only ‘Rod type’ Zinc Oxide by Sunjin

In this issue, we would like to introduce SUNZnO-200AS and SUNZnO-200SA which are the world’s first and only ‘Rod Type’ Zinc Oxide.

SUNZnO-200AS and SUNZnO-200SA are rod type Zinc Oxides coated with either Triethoxycaprylylsilane or Stearic Acid.

Rod type is better than spherical type as rods can cover a larger area with less agglomeration. Therefore rods provides a more creamy feeling, better transparency and better UV performance.

Lastly, SUNZnO-200AS and SUNZnO-200SA are Zinc Oxides with reliable quality produced in API GMP facility that passed FDA inspection.
