‘Cool Watery Touch Essence Sun Balm’ is full of moisture!

We are happy to introduce a new W/O sun stick formulation, ‘Cool Watery Touch Essence Sun Balm’ that contains a high level of water essence.

By adding water essence to an existing oil phase only formulation, SUNJIN created  a W/O type formula.  Cool Watery Touch Essence Sun Balm provides an extremely moisturizing effect acting as Skin Care as well as Sun Care.

This formulation contains a combination of Chemical filters and Physical filter. It is transparent on the skin as nano-sized TiO2 was used.

Also, It contains 24.4% of water, therefore it has a lot of possible marketing points using water soluble ingredients.

SUNJIN BEAUTY SCIENCE, Performing Steady ESG Management!

To perform steady ESG management, Sunjin Beauty Science have been conducting beach cleaning activities for 2 years. Moreover, we obtained the Bronze medal from EcoVadis, an international research organization that evaluates the ‘sustainability’ of global companies.

ESG management stands for ‘Environment’, ‘Social’, and ‘Governance’ management. It is defined as a corporate activity for sustainable development through transparent management considering eco-friendly, socially responsible management and improvement of governance. It is rapidly spreading as a management trend.

As part of this ESG management, Sunjin Beauty Science sponsored the ‘Beach cleaning campaign’ last year which is an environmental cleanup activity for university students. Also, for consistent coast cleaning activity, all employees had participated in beach cleaning in may of this year.

In addition, we received the Bronze Medal from EcoVadis, which evaluates and measures CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). As the importance of ESG is increasing, EcoVadis’ evaluation results are being used as an important criterion in selecting suppliers in many global companies.

Sunjin Beauty Science will continue to promote various CSR activities until we receive the Platinum Medal by EcoVadis awarded to the top 1%. Thank you for your interest.

Proposal from Sunjin for Microplastic Replacement

 Today we will introduce the products developed to replace microplastic which persist in global environment and the formulations applying them.

 Sunjin’s products provide the unique sensory feel that microplastic beads have with Silica, a natural substance.

 For the replacement of Porous PMMA with high oil absorption and hydrophobicity, you can use SUNSIL-OLEO series which can absorb selectively sebum over moisture.

 In addition, Silicone beads can be replaced by using SUNSIL-SILK which gives unique texture with Trihydroxystearin and SUNSIL-150H with high absorption together.

 Microplastic-free Sun Stick was developed using the combination of SUNSIL-SOFT and SUNSIL-150H. This sun stick provides a light texture using SUNSIL-SOFT as a replacement for silicone powder and SUNSIL-150H for high absorption.

IFSCC Benefactorship supports high-quality cosmetic science educational efforts around the world and recognizes scientists who make a noteworthy contribution to cosmetic science. There is a 3-tier Benefactor Program – Gold, Silver and Bronze. It depends on the size of the donation.

NMPA registered raw materials for your successful China market entry

In this issue, we would like to introduce 「Measures for the Administration of the Registration and Recordation of Cosmetics」 and NMPA registered raw materials by Sunjin.

NMPA opened “cosmetic ingredients safety information registration platform”. Therefore cosmetic companies have to register information on all raw materials in their formulations.

However, when information is already registered by raw material suppliers, customers can easily access product information by entering the “Submission Code” on the NMPA platform without having to register separately.

Sunjin has registered our raw materials on the NMPA platform and provided “Submission Code” to customers with related documents.

We have completed registration for various raw materials such as ZnO, TiO2, Silica and PMMA and provided related information.

Thank you very much for visiting Sunjin’s booth during In-cosmetics Korea 2022 held at COEX in Seoul from July 13 to 15.

For those who couldn’t attend In-Cosmetics Korea, let us briefly introduce the three most popular products during the exhibition.

The first product is the new silica product SUNSIL-LUX150H. SUNSIL-LUX150H is a 13um-sized porous silica with a pearl-like surface compared to conventional silica products. Many visitors have experienced the softness of SUNSIL-LUX150H.

The second product, the AQUA Oil series, is a nano-emulsion that can be easily emulsified in water phase without a high-pressure homogenizer and heating process. Many customers have been interested in it because it can be applied to various formulations in a simple way.

The last product is the Cerplex series. It is a Ceramide delivery system using Hectorite technology. You can develop a more stable formulation with Ceraplex series than using conventional liposome technology with Ceramides.

Dr. Sung-ho Lee, CEO of Sunjin Beauty Science and IFSCC Honorary Secretary, presented the basics of protecting your skin from the harmful effects of the sun and how to calculate the actual SPF depending on how well a person applies sunscreen.
