While conventional avobenzone is typically limited to use in oil phases,

SUNSIL-AB goes beyond simply compensating for avobenzone’s limitations, delivering higher UV protection index results compared to formulations using pure avobenzone. These results have been validated through both in-vivo and in-vitro testing.
Actual Formulation Guide: OTC Sun Serum (SPF 50, Broad Spectrum)
By using SUNSIL-AB at 9.7% (approximately 3% avobenzone) in combination with other organic UV filters, it is possible to create a sun serum formulation that meets both SPF 50 and US OTC Broad Spectrum requirements. This demonstrates that SUNSIL-AB is a key ingredient for developing high-performance suncare products.
