In this newsletter, we will introduce you the new EcoVadis assessment criteria that will be applied from 2024, and Sunjin Beauty Sciences’ ESG management performances.
EcoVadis is the world’s largest ESG assessment organization and evaluates the performance of companies in the areas of environment, ethics, labor&human rights, and sustainable procurement.
EcoVadis awards medals and badges to companies based on their sustainability performance to encourage sustainable business practices.
EcoVadis has introduced changed assessment program criteria that will be applied from 2024.
These changes are designed to reflect the latest global sustainability trends and best practices, as well as to inhibit the growing problem of greenwashing.
Sunjin Beauty Science has reached top 39%(Total score 52) in 2022 and top 28%(Total score 58) in 2023.
Solar power is a eco-friendly and sustainable energy source because it generates electricity by using solar energy. Therefore, Sunjin Beauty Science has built a 100kw solar system of about 200 sqm in size to protect the environment and reduce energy costs.
We also installed electric vehicle charging stations and used materials certified by RSPO(Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
In 2024, Sunjin Beauty Sciences plans to use electric delivery vehicles services and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) policies to achieve zero carbon emissions in logistic.
Also, we are planning to establish a greenhouse gas inventory and implement carbon reduction by 2025 as part of its commitment to ESG management.
