As consumer inteest in healthy skin and barrier care continues to grow, the ceramide product market is rapidly expanding. However, ceramides are inherently “poorly soluble,” which has made it challenging for conventional technologies to ensure high stability when formulated at high concentrations.

We are pleased to introduce Ceraplex, Sunjin Beauty Science’s proprietary stabilization technology that overcomes the limitations of poorly soluble ceramides.

Ceraplex technology is based on the Double Barrier Repair System, validated through SCI publications, which cares for the skin barrier in two stages.

Ceraplex utilizes hectorite clay to stably encapsulate and emulsify ceramides.

This effectively suppresses the “lamellar bridge” phenomenon that can occur with conventional liposome technology, achieving excellent formulation stability even in high-concentration ceramide formulations.

In other words, ceramides remain stable without separation and can be delivered to the skin more efficiently.

 Step 2: Moisture Loss Prevention with Hectorite

Hectorite forms a physical protective film on the skin surface to prevent moisture evaporation and acts as a secondary barrier, protecting the skin from external irritants.





The stability of Ceraplex technology was clearly confirmed through CryoSEM analysis. The O/W emulsion containing 5% Ceraplex Aqua maintained stable spherical oil droplets and multilayer structures.

The Ceraplex series is the world’s first proprietary technology that stably delivers high concentrations of ceramides across natural and synthetic ceramides, as well as both oil-phase and water-phase formulations.
