At Sephora U.S., the top-selling sun care product is loved for its smooth, transparent texture that leaves no white cast and doubles as a makeup primer. Inspired by this trend, we’re excited to introduce a next-generation sun primer that takes things one step further—transparent, refreshing, and completely silicone-free.
Our key ingredient, SFGEL (Silicone-Free Elastic Gel), is a natural elastomer aligned with clean beauty concepts. It enhances the even spread of organic UV filters, contributing significantly to SPF and PA stability.
SFGEL not only improves coverage of skin imperfections and boosts makeup longevity—the essential functions of a primer—but also delivers a glossy glow effect with a soft, luxurious velvet finish.
In this sun primer formulation, SFGEL-M helps create a smooth skin surface while providing a matte touch.
We also incorporated SUNSIL-20 for oil control and a fresh, powdery finish, and SUNSIL-S, which encapsulates BEMT (an organic UV filter) in silica to reduce irritation and improve photostability—enhancing overall sun protection performance.
