K-Beauty Hot Trend: The Best Choice for Sunscreen Serums, Silica Capsules!

In this issue, we are excited to introduce the key ingredient for sunscreen serum formulations, one of the K-Beauty Hot Trends. The product lineup includes our Silica Capsules: SUNSIL-S, SUNSIL-AB, SUNSIL-EHT, SUNSIL-DHHB, and SUNSIL-BLP.
Silica Capsule series consists of ingredients where chemical UV filters are encapsulated in silica. This product is designed to enable the use of chemical sunscreens, typically used in oil phase of the formulations, in water phase.
When comparing formulations with the same concentration of BEMT, a chemical UV filter, to those with Silica Capsules containing BEMT, the formulations with Silica Capsules demonstrated significantly superior UV protection.
In addition, by using Silica Capsules in water phase of the formulations, it is possible to develop a formula with a lightweight texture and non-sticky feeling.
Furthermore, we have confirmed that formulations with Silica Capsules offer superior formulation stability compared to those using conventional chemical UV filters.
